   Compared to last week at Sioux Falls, SD slaughter lambs 1.00-3.00
higher; slaughter ewes 2.00-6.00 lower; feeder lambs had a higher
undertone.

Slaughter Lambs:   Choice and Prime 2-3 90-150 lbs:
  Sioux Falls:    shorn and wooled 110-130 lbs 149.00-161.00; 130-155
                  lbs 145.00-153.00.
  Virginia:       wooled 110-125 lbs 241.00.
Slaughter Lambs:  Choice and Prime 1-2:
  Sioux Falls:    47 lbs 230.00; 73 lbs 220.00.
  Virginia:       30-60 lbs 167.00-252.00; 80-110 lbs 226.00-236.00.
Slaughter Ewes:
  Sioux Falls:    Good 3-4 (very fleshy) 46.00-57.50; Good 2-3 (fleshy)
                  46.00-55.00; Utility and Good 1-3 (medium flesh) 54.00-
                  56.00; Utility 1-2 (thin) 41.00-55.00; Cull 1 25.00-

Sheep and lamb slaughter under federal inspection for the week to date
totaled 28,000 compared with 23,000 last week and 27,000 last year.
